Logo Designing for a Specific Audience


L/Os:
To develop your understanding of the term 'target audience'
To begin to develop your design ideas for a logo, meeting a specific design brief
To develop your Adobe Illustrator skills



Starter - 5 minutes: 

Take a look at this example logo and answer the questions...
  • Can you describe the logo? What elements make up the logo itself?
  • What makes it a good logo?
  • Can you identify the target audience* for it? 
  • Can you highlight key features which make the logo appealing to teenagers?
*Reminder: What is a target audience???























Main Task - 40 minutes:


You have already created a logo for your own company and brand and now you are to complete a project brief for another company -  a REAL one!!! Take a look at this brief (AKA your criteria!!) for a logo:


Discussion:
How could you make this logo idea appeal to teenagers? What kind of techniques could you use?

...As well as develop it, you need to show that you can use new techniques and tools in Adobe Illustrator

Experts - we need you!!! Are you confident in Illustrator or with any specific tools such as the following? *Greens and Golds up for grabs :-)
