Moodboard - Lesson 2


LO1 - To understand what a moodboard is and how it can be used to help develop a game
LO2 - To develop the resources needed for your moodboard

Starter - 10 minutes

Reflection: Open up your ICT blog and answer the following questions (remember that your blog is going to be marked from now on as part of your GCSE).

What is a moodboard?
What goes on a moodboard?
What does not go on a moodboard?
Ext: What is the best way to instantly show off your game idea on the moodboard?


Main - 40 minutes

TASK 1 Continue to collect images for your moodboard (three A4 Word pages are recommended - to fill the sugar paper).
Remember that the moodboard should include at least inspirational materials/images for:

the game genre and style
settings/environments
the characters
any music, sound effects or speech
anything else you think is important

Save your work in Sites--> DA204SPB --> Evidence


TASK 2 Complete your Game Overview and make sure that it is saved inside Evidence.


Plenary - 10 minutes



  1. Save all of the images you have collected 
  2. Save a second copy of all of the images as a PDF (File - Save As PDF) with your name in the header
  3. Email me your photos AS PDF FILES so I can print them in colour: PR Rymill p.rymill@wildern.hants.sch.uk ONLY PDF FILES WILL GET PRINTED FOR NEXT LESSON!
  4. Blog about what you have achieved today
