Starter Task - 10 minutes
- You'll need a choice of colours for this task. For a list of Hex Triplet colours (ie #ffffff which is white) go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors
- You'll practise using CSS tutorials on w3schools.com. Start with this one: http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_background-color_body
- Try editing the background colour like so (I am simply changing the # number to #E52B50):
- Keep practising!
- Next, change the text like so:
Main Task - 45 minutes
- Excellent progress! Now click on http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_background-image_position and try some advance editing .......
- Replace 'img_tree.png' (highlighted above) with 'paper.gif' and make it repeat like so:
- Head to http://www.w3schools.com/css/ and have some more fun editing :-)
Plenary - 5 minutes
- Share your CSS experiences via your blog and with the rest of the class.
- Discuss the elements/aspect of CSS you may use on your own website for this unit. You could set it out like this:
