Scratch Lesson 3

L/O - To understand how to use selection programming using 'if' statements





Thunk: "Who might hate the internet?"



Starter


Sit in teams of 4/5
Using the whiteboards answer the following question: What have you learnt so far in Scratch? Everyone in the team to contribute for Respect eRefs


Main


RED
Launch your Scratch game from last lesson

You should already have:

Your main character created in Scratch
An enemy character created in Scratch
A background created in Scratch

AMBER

You should already have:

Added some code blocks to your game for the enemy sprite that:
  1. makes the enemy sprite move in a random direction
  2. if touching the edge bounce away

**Try experimenting with the degrees and steps

GREEN
You should already have:

Edited the code blocks of your main character sprite to include an 'If Else' statement

**Try changing the 'mouse down?' block and the timings on 'say'


EXT

Add in some If and If Else statements of your own into the game

Plenary


a) Open your Scratch Evidence Document that you started last lesson
b) Complete the Lesson 2 section
c) Save your work

Complete the next TASK 4 in your Blue HomeStudy Booklet
