You will be taking an assessment test next lesson so the following questions must be answered in detail in your folders. There are 7 questions in total.

In your folder:
1. Describe the inputs, processes, outputs and storage of a smartphone. You can use diagrams but you must write at least three paragraphs. **You can use computers if needed but must write in your green books**

3. Suggest one ethical consideration when buying a new computer system.
AMBER TASK
4. The accident and emergency department of a hospital uses a computer system to decide the order in which patients are treated. Describe the advantages of using a computer system instead of a person to decide the order, and the need for the system to be reliable.
5. An airline company is considering upgrading their timetabling, reservation and ticketing systems with a new software program. Describe two disadvantages of introducing a more complicated system with reference to the importance of reliability in ensuring the system will operate effectively.
6. Explain the legal issues that the rail company should consider when selecting the new software.
GREEN TASK
7. Suggest two measures which a tech company could take to ensure reliability in the event of a power cut to the main data server.
