L/O 1 To develop your ideas for a set of trading cards

OUTCOME - You will start to design your trading cards on paper and receive feedback

Main Task - 45 minutes

Red Task

Read through the requirements for the trading cards below:

A set of 42 trading cards will be used to promote the game.

You must design three of the cards: one for your hero, one for your villain, plus one additional card.

The design on the back will be the same for each card.

 Produce a design for each card.

Each card must:

• be double-sided
• measure 6.5 cm wide and 9 cm high
• use only elements from primary sources
• include relevant information about the image on the front.

Orange Task

Start designing your trading cards on paper using Task 2 (you MUST have THREE designs - one for your hero, one for your villain, plus one additional card - use the backs of the worksheet if you need to as the more designs the better!!)

Green Task

Start designing your digital poster for the unit using plain A4 paper and the requirements below:

You must produce a digital poster to promote the trading cards and mobile phone wallpaper.

 Produce the digital poster.

It must:

• be created using only graphic tools to edit and combine elements
• use only elements from primary sources
• include the name of the game
• include images of the trading cards and the wallpaper in use
• include text to promote the products.
