L/Os: To develop an understanding of game authoring software
Outcomes: You will have attempted a basic game in GameMaker and have a better understanding of what the software can do. You may start designing your own
Starter - 5 minutes
Before you make a start on your game, update your ARS ...
- Open your email and head to Drive --> 'Shared with me' --> find your ARS
- Read through the green (completed) and red (not completed) comments from me. Comment on anything if needed using the Comments Button (top right)
- What do you have left to complete before April?!!
Main Tasks - 50 minutes
Open GameMaker(in ICT & Business) and create the 'Click on the fruit' game below:
Create backgrounds (640px x 480px) and objects (32px x 32px) ready to insert into your game
Update your ARS
Plenary - 5 minutes
Which colour are you on now? If you cannot move your colour - what will you need to do before next lesson??
