GameMaker Fruit Game: Lesson 1 of 2

L/Os: To develop an understanding of game authoring software


Outcomes: You will have at least attempted a game in GameMaker


Starter - 5 minutes


You are going to have a go at creating a basic game in GameMaker. This will give you an idea as to how you are going to go about create objects, characters, walls, platforms, backgrounds, tilesets, etc.

You are going to start with the 'Click on the Fruit' game.

Main Task - 50 minutes


Open GameMaker (in ICT&Business)
Follow the Click on the Fruit tutorial (found on the right-hand side of GameMaker):


Plenary - 5 minutes


What have you learn in GameMaker so far?
Clinics for catching up on paperwork now. Reds/DTs will be set if you do not attend clinics...
Homework - download GameMaker at home to practise. However, it is not the same version at school (we have Pro - downloaded version is Lite)
