Red, Amber.... Green!

L/Os: To develop your game to meet the SPB criteria 

To log your game developments using a Test Plan 

Outcome: A fully functional game and at least three sections completed on the Test Plan


Starter - 10 minutes

  1. Open your Game so far
  2. Open your Assets Table so far
  3. Open your Test Plan so far
  4. Spend the first 10 minutes of the lesson making sure all documents are up to date - add EVERY bit of testing that you have so far to it
  5. Remember you must include all elements which DO and DO NOT work. 
  6. Here is the Test_plan.doc Download this file and here is an example of a test plan:


    For 11 marks (FULL MARKS), a student must have recorded progress from the initial moodboard,
    through design, prototyping and testing, to the final game and include evidence of:
    • the entire design process with evidence of extensive testing and detailed
    response to user feedback
    • full justification of design decisions
    • development of a wide range of effective assets.

Main Tasks - 40 minutes

Inserted main character and backgrounds into your game
Completed at least one level of the game
Ensured Assets Table is up-to-date
Completed at least two levels of the game
Ensured Test Plan is up-to-date

Greens and Golds for progress!

Mini-Plenary - 5 minutes

Can you swap your colour?? How are you going to progress to the next colour??

Plenary - 5 minutes

Blog about what you have achieved this lesson. Do you need to attend catch up clinics?? Add dates to your planners!!
