L/Os To develop and test your design log according to the SPB requirements
Outcome - a design log has been started and tested against the requirements.
Starter - 10 minutes
- Stick your WAD sticker onto your folder and fill in the WAD sheet
- Download the design log here and save it into your D203SPB --> Evidence folder
DESIGN LOG
You must use a design log to record the design process as you develop your products.
This should include:
- key stages in the design and development of your products
- explanations of your design decisions
- explanations of your use of graphic tools and techniques
- feedback on final designs and possible improvements
- changes made in response to feedback and testing.
Create a design log.Update your design log as you work through the project, using annotated images where appropriate.
Main - 40 minutes
Complete your first 3d Character net - make sure that you have met all of the requirements
Add designs so far to Design Log
Complete your second 3D Character net - make sure that you have met all of the requirements
Print out your 3d Character nets in colour - cut them out and build them
....Greens and Golds for progress AND 'Experts'!!!
Mini-Plenary - 5 minutes
- Open your Wildern email - remember the shortcut: mail.wildern.hants.sch.uk
- Create a blog post with the title 'Feedback'
- Open your 3D character nets in Adobe Illustrator (Hero/Villain - whichever one you started last lesson)
- Swap seats with a test buddy and write feedback for each other into the blog post (2 Stars and a Wish) - remember to check that they have met the requirements here: http://www1.edexcel.org.uk/DA203_1309/SPB/Index.htm
- Publish the post but keep your blogs open as you will need them again at the end of the lesson!
Plenary - 5 minutes
Write a new blog post outlining:
- How you used the feedback given
- What you have achieved this lesson
